I worked in the Cost Office at the Manchester factory in Louisa Street, Higher Openshaw, from 1965-66. I just wish to say that this office was like a morgue: what an unhappy experience it was. Everywhere else was pleasant and happy - but not that dreadful Cost Office - no way! An air of misery and despondence pervaded the place from morning to night. Veritably it was an appalling place to be!
